Pre-purchase building inspections in Brisbane
A building only inspection looks at the condition of the home, from the roof and structure to wet areas and safety hazards. It suits concrete high rise apartments, or buyers who already have a current pest report.
When building only makes sense
For most houses we recommend adding the timber pest inspection. Building only is a sensible choice for upper level units in concrete buildings, or when you already hold a recent timber pest report from a licensed pest manager.
What we check
- Interior: walls, ceilings, floors, doors, windows and joinery
- Wet areas: showers, baths, laundries and moisture in nearby walls
- Roof space and roof exterior where safe access exists
- Subfloor framing, stumps and piers on raised homes
- Exterior walls, decks, stairs, balustrades and site drainage
Reports follow AS 4349.1 and sort findings into major defects, minor defects and safety hazards, with a summary up front.
